DDO collaborated with Barretto-co. to help create an identity for Soar, an online service that offers dynamic screening of medical tests over time. We helped Soar to analyze their business, pin point key adjectives, and then create an identity that expressed them.

When screening for prostate cancer, one test is not enough. Soar provides dynamic screening for both physicians and patients to enable comparing of tests throughout time. Dynamic screening leads to earlier detection, and higher cure rates.

Soar is developing techniques for analyzing proteins—with a view to comparing changes over time and using results to measure aspects of patient health. The service seeks to engage “the whole person” in behavior change that can moderate or even reverse conditions and improve quality of life and extend length of life.

RDI Enterprises is introducing a new approach to online poker, making the experience as similar to playing in a real casino as possible—real cards, real table, real dealer: real poker. The introduction of a human dealer into online poker gaming will immediately and clearly distinguish the Realdeck product.

DDO collaborated with Steve Barretto to design the identity for Realdeck. Some of our early explorations are shown below.

Nik Software is an independent software vendor. It develops, publishes, and distributes software for the professional and hobbyist markets. Nik approached us originally to help them develop the interface for a mass consumer audience photo application to retouch digital snapshots. The photo application incorporates a very promising new technology Nik had developed.

When the application design was complete, Nik asked us to work with their offices in the U.S. and in Germany to develop a new corporate logo. The logo exists within a system; we continue to work with Nik to refine the identity system.

As in many startups, product positioning and marketing strategy were somewhat fluid at the beginning of our engagement. We worked with Kazeon to develop an identity, a diagram to unpack their complex set of technologies, an initial datasheet, and corporate Web site. Through the development of these materials, the story became clearer, and the customer offer tangible.

Ixio, headquartered in Kirkland, Washington, redefines the way that attorneys create documents—the practice at the heart of the legal profession. With Ixio QShift, attorneys create models from current documents, store commentary in the models, and create new legal documents from a stored model library.

We helped Ixio develop a refreshed corporate identity and new product identity with a corporate Web site, brochure, and exhibit materials in a 6-week timeframe. We also created a QuickStart guide to introduce the new service, and worked with the engineering staff to create the subscription and administration flows that allowed customers to subscribe to QShift.
